Two billion euros for JAXX's birthday

Ending the year on a happy note in North Germany: JAXX AG celebrates its
tenth birthday on December 22, and is also able to report record sales in
the fourth quarter. On the same day, all of Spain will be on tenterhooks as
the world's biggest lottery jackpot is drawn. A good omen?

Altenholz/Madrid, December 15, 2008 – Next Monday, on December 22, 2008,
the champagne corks will already be popping in various parts of Europe,
more than a week before the New Year festivities. While the gaming
specialist JAXX, from Altenholz near Kiel, will be raising a glass to
record sales in the fourth quarter and to celebrate its tenth anniversary,
the dream of scooping a fortune on the lottery will become reality for a
number of Spaniards. On that day, virtually all TV stations in Spain will
be broadcasting the main draw of the winning numbers in the Christmas
Lottery ('Sorteo de Navidad'). The truly phenomenal total winnings of over
two billion euros will be then distributed among the population.

On average, every Spaniard spends 75 euros on a share in a ticket, with the
result that the prize pot amounts to some three billion euros. 70 percent
of this total is paid out in winnings (by comparison, the German lottery
only pays out 50 percent in winnings). The main prize alone, known as 'El
Gordo' ('The Fat One'), amounts to almost half a billion euros.

Mecca for lottery players

One particular place always proves very popular at this time of year: the
sales agency for lottery tickets going by the evocative name of 'La Bruixa
D'Or' ('The Golden Witch') in the Catalan village of 'Sort', which rather
auspiciously means 'fortune'. This village, with a population of 1,800, is
considered to be a Mecca for Spain's lottery players, because the facts
underpin the promise of its name: 'The Fat One' has already been won on
five previous occasions by a lottery ticket purchased at that agency, which
has the highest lottery sales in the world.

The Golden Witch now sells tickets not just in situ in Sort, but also over
the internet and by phone. This has all been made possible by the
Madrid-based company DigiDis Digital Distribution Management S.L., which
has been part of the JAXX Group since 2005. In a joint venture with 'La
Bruixa d'Or', DigiDis sells Golden Witch tickets exclusively via electronic
media. More and more internet users are taking the opportunity to buy
shares in lottery tickets via portals such as www.labruixador.com,
www.serviapuestas.es or www.jaxx.com. Since the tickets went on sale in
August, DigiDis has sold tickets with a total value of more than EUR 5
million – more than double the previous year's tally.

Record sales and impressive profits in November

'The run on the Spanish Christmas lottery helped us post record sales in
October and November,' remarked Rainer Jacken, Management Board spokesman
of JAXX AG. 'And in November our sports betting subsidiary myBet.com
reported the highest ever monthly sales since it was established: almost
EUR 8 million, with a bookmaking margin in excess of 30 percent!'
myBet.com, which is based on Malta, has been part of the JAXX Group since
the start of 2006.

'It would really be the icing on the cake if one of our customers were now
to scoop 'The Fat One',' mused Rainer Jacken. With the main draw for the
Christmas lottery and JAXX's tenth birthday falling on the very same day,
who knows....
