mybet receives casino and poker licence in Schleswig-Holstein

- mybet subsidiary PEI Ltd. receives one of the first licences
- Gaming can be offered at mybet.de in future
- Already licensed sports betting product range to be broadened

Kiel, December 19, 2012 - PEI Ltd., which is part of mybet Holding SE
(Deutsche Börse, Prime Standard, ISIN DE000A0JRU67), is among the first
companies to have been granted a licence for the organising and marketing
of online gaming in Schleswig-Holstein.
mybet was issued with the permit today by the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry
of the Interior. On its website the Ministry of the Interior has published
a list of 12 companies from all over Europe which can now offer online
gaming in Schleswig-Holstein.

What this means for mybet is that attractive games for German customers can
be added to the existing product range, within a secure regulatory
framework. The platform mybet.de that is licensed in Schleswig-Holstein
will soon be able to host poker and casino games alongside sports betting,
for which it already received a licence back in May.

Mathias Dahms, Management Board spokesman of the Kiel-based mybet Holding,
declared: 'This is great news for us all! mybet Holding was established in
Schleswig-Holstein, and is therefore especially proud to be among the first
to be granted a licence. It's also good news for our customers because they
can now use a product range licensed and regulated in Germany.
Schleswig-Holstein has created a legal framework for gaming that rates as
pioneering in both German and European terms. The hurdles that have to be
taken in securing a permit are the toughest around, and we needed to pull
out all the stops to obtain this licence. Schleswig-Holstein is the only
German state to have understood how to go about drafting legislation that
complies with both European law and German constitutional law, while also
giving equal weight to the interests of players, providers and the state.
It remains to be seen whether the ban on gaming following the passing of
the State Treaty on gaming by the other federal states will survive. We
expect the market in Germany to experience liberalisation in future.'
